The Little Red Ridding Hood
あかずきん
In the first piece of choreography, we took a hint from the tale Little Red Riding Hood. The little red riding hood in the piece resembles true dancing. The wolves resembles the ‘trend’ in dancing. In the beginning of the story, little red riding hood is beaten by the ‘trendy’ dancers lurking around the world. But towards the end, the situation reverses. Numbers of true dancers are only a few, but they are the true dancers. There is a part of Obama’s speech where they unite and come to an understanding.
Their high quality performance and the excellent staging produced a sensation throughout many. We were invited as guest dancers in other countries. This piece came to life not only by the dancers but many supporters around that helped us become a team. I respect them all.

What ruined hip hop?
This was the theme of the piece that was performed in Hong Kong. 4 members joined our crew as guest dancers and we were invited as the first exhibition dancers from Japan for WOD Hong Kong. No tricks in the performance but just true dancing was there. I thank all the crew members and supporters that gave so much energy into this piece.
After this piece was shown, we have become known throughout other countries. Unfortunately, the dance culture in Japan has still not come up to our standards. We have just come to the start line. We are still a crew of only a few, but that makes us much special and full of hungry spirits.

この作品は2ヶ月というありえない期間で望んだ。結果が良かったから言えることだが、はじめから優勝するのがわかっていた。なぜだかわからないが自信しかなかった。きっとこれが 信じれば叶う ということなのだと思う。
敵をつくることをおそれなければ 自由が見えてくる。

KEEP DANCIN'
I first started dancing when I was 24, 25 years old. Till then, I went to college and worked for a big company well known. In my first year as a business man, I even achieved the best sales results in Japan. But meeting with my former teacher was a turning point in my life to start as a dancer. Three years later, I started instructing as a dancer and I have involved in over 500 projects till now. My most memorable career as a dancer was participating as a front dancer for Cheryl Lynn, the legend in soul music, and also for WHISPERS. There were no fixed choreography, but was free to dance anything. Working as a back dancer, not being able to perform myself, was the most boring work I have done.
Watching the skills and expressions of the dancers in my performance would make you understand my career than in words.
